UN Millennium Development Goals Project

The UN Millennium Development Goals group project was a very interactive, productive, and creative way to get students involved with changing the world and expanding their knowledge on world issues.

For my group project, we focused on renewable energies of algae biofuels, hydropower, geothermal energy and urban farming. Our proposal was focused on getting curriculums that are specifically about renewable energies because it will be a major focus in the future. Renewable energies are a hot topic now but we think that if we had more scientists focus completely on renewable energies, we would get farther on research and innovations more rapidly. My role in this project was to act and carry out with the visual editing and reported on algae biofuels. I loved the project because it’s always a good thing to learn how to work with people. Communication with others is a crucial skill that we all need to learn and achieve to be successful in school, work and life in general. To be successful in work, you need to communicate more efficiently and clearly to get the point of your wanting to climb to the top, out there, loud and clear. I didn’t attach my proposal because the “proposal” was just the different pages in our website copied & pasted into one whole document. Even though we didn’t get the project clearly due to lack of communication and listening, I still liked the project. It’s always good to learn how to deal with different types of people because not everyone is the same and if someone frustrates you, you can’t just blow up on them. There were many ups and downs. I had more ups than downs.

We did a website where I was the visual editor.
